German police investigating possible migrant attack in a German football stadium
A German police spokeswoman said on Tuesday that the state of Baden-Württemberg is conducting an investigation into the possible migrant rape and murder of a 20-year-old man.
“We can confirm that a suspect has been arrested,” said spokeswoman Rolf Neuer.
“The case is under investigation.
It is a serious case, which we are working on with the prosecutors.”
The statement comes after a similar incident in Dortmund on Saturday night.
Police in Baden, which is the largest city in Germany’s state of North Rhine-Westphalia, said they were investigating the incident.
In response to the incident, police in Cologne issued an emergency statement saying they had been alerted by a member of the public to the rape and death of the 20-years-old, whose identity is still unknown.
“An initial investigation has been carried out, but it is unclear what happened to the victim,” the statement said.
“No information has been given about the victim’s condition.”
In addition, police said they had arrested two people who they said were believed to be the perpetrators of the rape.
