How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the News
National Review is pleased to announce our new contributor David French, who has written for Breitbart News, the Gateway Pundit, Breitbart News Daily, Breitbart, and many other websites.
His book, The End of Liberalism, was published by Atlantic Books.
His new article, “I Can’t Stand Liberals,” appeared on Tuesday’s edition of the National Review.
“I can’t stand liberals.
They’re all so much worse than I thought they’d be,” he said.
They think, ‘Oh, that’s just a book, I’m going to go to it later.’ “
He added, “The problem with liberals is that they’re so intellectually lazy.
They think, ‘Oh, that’s just a book, I’m going to go to it later.’
If you read it, you should be able to understand it and go, ‘This is stupid.’ “
You’re not supposed to read a book because it’s a good book.
You’re supposed to just get it out of your system.””
But if you do it and it’s like a bad book, like a garbage book, you know, it’s just not worth it, because you’ll go, Oh, that was a waste of time.
You’re supposed to just get it out of your system.”
He added that he and his wife, Kelly, have “taken a very hard line against liberals,” who are “so stupid.”
“They think, Well, the guy has to do all these things.
I’m supposed to be a feminist, or a woman, or I should be married to a man, or whatever,” he told Breitbart News.
“All these things are completely wrong.
It’s just wrong.
You have no empathy. “
“You know, we live in a time where if you are a liberal, you’re a hypocrite, you have no respect for people.
You have no empathy.
You think they’re stupid.
And I can’t go along with it. “
So, I think the problem is with the left.
And I can’t go along with it.
I can go along but I have to be honest with myself.”
